Crochet a Beautiful Boho Chunky Fringed Wrap

Hi everyone, today I am bringing to you the Crochet beautiful Boho Chunky Fringed Wrap.

I hope you are well. This week I was inspired to make a beautiful bohemian fringed wrap reminiscent of the 1960’s and 1970’s, which seems to be the Golden Age of crochet. The simple design and colour (a speckled cream colour) were exactly what I had in mind for this shawl. I was very happy with how it turned out.

As always you can find my video tutorial up on my Youtube channel: Crochet Boho Fringed Video Tutorial

This wrap is very easy to crochet

I used Knitting Essentials yarn from Poundland for this project!

I made this chunky wrap using 8 skeins of Knitting Essentials yarn from Poundland, which is super soft and very budget friendly (8 skeins cost me Β£6!). When I saw this ball of wool on the shelf, I just had to touch it to see if it was as soft as it seemed, and it was! I have to say it was the first time I crocheted anything with yarn from a supermarket. It is a delightful yarn to crochet with. It is a regular chunky yarn (size 5 in American terms), and so can be substituted very easily if you cannot find this exact yarn.

A very simple Granny Triangl pattern to start with

This very simple granny triangle pattern really goes well with this chunky wool, as it really created the bohemian vibes I wanted. Adding the fringes just made it perfect, and I have to say I was really happy with the result! This shawl is the perfect winter accessory to have around the house or at the office, as it is really wide and warm, and perfect to snuggle in.

A perfect Christmas gift

I loved creating it, and gave it as a gift to my dad’s girlfriend for Christmas, and she really loved it! I was delighted with the result, and thought I would make a video tutorial and write a pattern for this project.

The soft cream colour and colourful specs that are in it immediately inspired me to make a fringed wrap, which would keep me nice and cosy now the cold has really hit the UK.

I hope you enjoy this project, which is my last project of 2019, and I will be back next January with lots of more crochet patterns and videos. I will be enjoying some time off to spend my Christmas with my family, and in the meantime, I wish you all a very merry Christmas,

Xoxo Selina.
