Crochet Easy Flower Headband Free Pattern: A Dainty Design
This crochet design is dainty and feminine. It features a unique cherry blossom pattern that I created a few months ago for another project, the Cherry Blossom Cardigan. The Cherry Blossom Cardigan is very pretty and dainty too, and I love this crochet design so much too!
The Cherry Blossom Cardigan is so lovely. It is called as it is because it features unique and delicate flowers stitched all across this cardigan. This cardigan is slightly cropped, and comes in many different sizes.
I love the flowers that I created for this cardigan. Inspired by cherry blossom flowers, I designed a new flower that I absolutely love. I know that I will be crocheting many different designs featuring this unique and beautiful flower design.
Crochet Easy Flower Headband Free Pattern: The Yarn
I crocheted both these patterns with a lovely yarn, called Twister Solid XL by Hobbii. This yarn is really good to crochet with, and I absolutely love working with it. Twister Solid XL yarn is made from 55 cotton and 45% acrylic. This makes for a really nice drape once a project is crocheted with this yarn.
I love using aran weight yarn, as it is perfect for many different projects. Aran weight yarn is great because it is not too chunky, yet it works up very fast. I have used this type of yarn very often, including for this boho festival headband I crocheted last week.
Let me know in the comments which yarn you prefer to use for your crochet projects. I love all types of yarn, as I find that depending on the season and my mood, I prefer to use finer or chunkier yarns. Indeed, I love chunky and sport weight yarns equally, depending on my mood or the season.

General Pattern Notes
We will be crocheting eight flowers that will later be stitched together to create headband shape.
Once this is done, we will be crocheting two ties on either side of the project.
Sewing your flowers together to create headband
Place your eight flowers next to one another on a flat surface; now sew these flowers together using a tapestry needle and loose end from each flower.
Once this is done, tidy up all loose ends.
Create ties on each side of the headband
Attach yarn to one side of the headband, and chain 40.
Once you have chained 40, slip stitch through second chain and each chain across until end of chain. Once you reach the end of the chain, slip stitch to the headband so as to secure the tie on headband.
Fasten off, tidy up all loose ends.
Repeat process on the other side.
Cherry Blossom Flower (crochet eight)
To begin, chain 4; slip stitch to first chain to close off round.
Round 1: Ch 3 (=TC), place 2 TC inside the ring (=3 TC); ch 1, sl stitch through ring to finish first petal; repeat 5 more times, fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Make sure you sew in your loose end from the beginning as we crochet the flower; once the flower has been crocheted, pull the center loose end so as to close off the center ring.
