This crochet scrunchie features a simple yet intricate design. Indeed, it features a simple Double Crochet design, as well as a V stitch pattern. Once the main part of the design is made, a beautiful picot edging is added. This picot edging adds a lot of dimension and elegance to this pattern.

I love picot edgings. Indeed, I have featured this lovely border in many of my designs. This simple headband features this border. I have featured the picot edging on many recent shawls of late, and I am sure to feature this stitch many times going forward.

For this project, I used one of my favorite yarns, Drops Muskat. Indeed, this yarn is made from 100% mercerized cotton, and it comes in many different colors too. I have used this yarn many times before, as it is perfect for accessories such as headbands and purses.

This boho flower bag is crocheted with this beautiful yarn. As you can see from this pattern, this yarn features lots of different and beautiful colors. I love this yarn so much and I know I will be using it many times going forward.

5โ€ x 5โ€ (13 x 13 cm)

Notes

I will be writing in US terms (British terms in brackets).

Materials

1 skein of Drops Muskat in shade Off White

A 4 mm crochet hook

Tapestry needle

A pair of scissors

1 Basic Elastic Band (Medium thickness)

Abbreviations

Ch: Chain

Sl st: Slip stitch

TC: Turning Chain

SC: Single Crochet (UK Double Crochet)

DC: Double Crochet (UK Treble Crochet)

EOR: End of round

Start pattern here

Attach yarn with a double knot to any place on the elastic band.

1: ch 1 (does not count as a SC), place Single Crochets all along the elastic band, tightening the SC together as you go along.

Sl st to ch 1 from beginning to finish off round.

Round 1

2: Ch 3 (=DC), place DC into next and every DC from previous round until eor. Sl st to first ch 3 at beginning of round to finish off round.

Round 2
Round 2

3: Ch 3 (=DC), place 2 DC in 1st stitch (=3 DC together), place 3 DC into next SC from previous row and into every SC until eor. Sl st to ch 3 at beginning of round to finish off round.

Round 3
Round 3

4 (picot edging): Ch 1 (=TC), [SC into the next 3 stitches, ch 3, slip stitch through the front loops of the SC] until eor; slip stitch to first ch 1 to close off round.

Fasten off, tidy up all loose ends.
