Crochet Enid Inspired Snood Free Pattern

Hi everyone, today I am bringing to you an Enid inspired snood (free pattern). I am so excited to bring this project to you as it is a pop culture inspired project that was really fun to make. This crochet snood is fun and easy to make too!

The video tutorial for this project can be found here:

Crochet Enid Inspired Snood Free Pattern: The Inspiration

I love this Enid inspired snood

This easy crochet snood is inspired by the snood as seen on the show Wednesday. This snood is absolutely beautiful, and is shown in two different colors in the show: a black one, and a variegated pink one.

The Ombre Violet Cowl is also a great free pattern if you are looking to crochet a snood.

The actress who plays Enid, Emma Myers, recently posted pictures of these snoods on Instagram. This was a perfect opportunity to see how these snoods are crocheted. It seems that this design is crocheted with super chunky wool, and it appears that this snood is made in a series of Double Crochets.

This crochet snood is so pretty and feminine

Once I had gotten a good idea of how this snood was made, I was inspired to crochet my own version. The free pattern can be found down below as always. You can also check out The Pink Ballerina Infinity Scarf if you want another free crochet pattern for a feminine snood.

Crochet Enid Inspired Snood Free Pattern: The Yarn

For this project, I wanted to use super chunky yarn. However, I found it very difficult to purchase super chunky yarn. In the end, I decided to use Scheepjes Chunky Monkey yarn, which is a chunky weight yarn. To create a super chunky effect, I used two strands of the chunky yarn to create a super chunky effect. If you want to make a matching beret, please do check out The Fleur De Lys Beret, as this beret is crocheted with super chunky yarn and would match this snood perfectly.

This was the first time I crocheted using two strands, and I absolutely loved it! I have to say that I have fallen in love with Scheepjes Chunky Monkey yarn too. Indeed, this yarn is so soft and beautiful, and looks perfect when worked two strands together. I know I will be using this yarn again very soon. As a matter of fact, I have already started crocheting squares with this yarn to make a patchwork sweater.

This is a great project for beginners

I loved crocheting this Wednesday inspired snood! It was so much fun, and to be honest it is always fun to be inspired by such a lovely design. I loved the fact that this snood was different shades of pink too, as pink is one of my favorite colors! It creates such a striking, yet simple design.

I hope you enjoy this easy crochet pattern. Let me know in the comments if you enjoyed this tutorial.

Sew in your snood

Place your project on a flat surface, and fold in half so that both ends of the scarf are touching. Once both ends of the project are symmetrically placed one on top of the other, place your tapestry needle onto your loose end. Now sew your project together using the mattress seam.

Once this is done, fasten off, and tidy up all loose ends.
