Crochet Griddle/Lemon Peel Stitch Free Pattern: A Versatile Stitch

The Griddle stitch (also known as the Lemon Peel stitch) is very versatile. I have used this stitch many times over the years, and I really love it! It uses a multiple of 2 for the base chain, and it is such an easy one row repeat pattern.

My Coquette Inspired Crochet Hook Case also features this stitch, and this just shows how versatile this stitch is! I love how beautiful and textured it looks, without it being too much.

This stitch looks particularly lovely when crocheting Winter projects. Indeed, this easy stitch just adds a little texture that looks beautiful for many different projects, and it looks great for men and women projects too!

This easy winter headband looks very elegant and unique, and features different simple stitches. The Snow Princess Hat from a few months ago is also a great example of this stitch in action. I love all of these projects, and I hope you do too! They perfectly showcase the versatility of this easy crochet stitch.

This crochet stitch looks lovely no matter which yarn you use. It truly can be used with many different yarns, and for a variation of different projects.

The Harvest Moon Pocket Shawl from a few years ago is crocheted with this stitch. On the other hand is very lovely and features a chunkier yarn (Lion Brand Landscapes). This shows how versatile this stitch can be.

It is a very simple one row repeat which begins by a chain made from a multiple of 2 for base chain. This simple and stylish man scarf from a few years ago features this stitch. This reminds me that a man scarf featuring this stitch is well overdue! I will definitely be crocheting a new design for a man scarf using this stitch very soon!
