Crochet Puff Flower Beginner Tutorial

Hi everyone, this week I am bringing to you a crochet Puff Flower beginner tutorial. This is a great crochet project for beginners and experts alike. I really enjoyed creating these puff flowers, and hope you will enjoy these as much as me!

Puff flowers look lovely on a lot of crochet projects. I can imagine placing them as appliques on shawls and cardigans, as well as home decor such as blankets and cushions. Puff flowers may also be used as an actual project if they are joined together. These projects could include a headband or blanket for example. I would love to create such a project soon!

Let me know how you use puff flowers in crochet.

Puff flowers can be made in slightly different ways, depending on the crocheter. My crochet tutorial for these flowers is representative of my favorite technique of making these. As you know, I love simplicity, and never really over complicate my patterns. This tutorial creates cute puff flowers I believe, and these can be made by complete beginners too.

These puff stitch flowers are very easy to crochet

I released a simple crochet flower tutorial last year. This free crochet pattern (including a video tutorial) is also a great way to crochet a simple cotton flower.

Generally speaking, I love the puff stitch. I love it very much at the moment, and have plenty of projects in the works using this technique coming soon. The puff flower is very beautiful in my opinion.

I used DK/light 3 yarn for these flowers, with a 4 mm crochet hook. However, you can use whichever size/weight yarn you prefer, with the matching crochet hook size. This will create a perfectly customize puff flower which can be used for any project. Puff flowers are very versatile and look beautiful in many colors, as you can see in the photographs.

I hope you enjoy this crochet project! I will be releasing more crochet tutorials featuring these puff flowers very soon.
