Crochet Rose Petal Wrap Free Pattern: A Dainty Crochet Project

I love the Coquette aesthetic. Indeed, it’s so feminine and lovely, perfect if you love lacy and delicate crochet designs. This crochet wrap is also very versatile, as it can be worn in a myriad of different ways too.

Crocheted with chunky yarn, this wrap features a delicate filet crochet design. This filet crochet design is particularly unique as it uses a pattern made from a treble crochet stitch and a double crochet stitch. I love this design so much as it is very easy and therapeutic to make; I also love that it features such a simple yet elegant stitch.

For this project, I used Scheepjes Chunky Monkey yarn, one of my favorite yarns at the moment. Indeed, the Granny Square Patchwork Sweater and this crochet crossbody bag have both been crocheted with this lovely and chunky yarn.

Crochet Rose Petal Wrap Free Pattern: A Simple Project

Simple projects are some of my favorite projects to date. Indeed, they are so fun, and sometimes referred to as a “mindless project”. I love these projects so much!

I love this elegant wrap so much!

Granny square patterns are considered to be therapeutic and fun crochet projects to make. This new design can be considered a simple crochet pattern as it features a very simple two row pattern. I love this so much, and I really enjoyed alternating treble crochet and double crochet rows. To be honest, I really believe I will be using this stitch again!

Let me know if you love these simple crochet patterns as much as me. I love crocheting and look forward to bringing so many more designs your way.

Notes

I will be using US terms (British terms in brackets).

This pattern comes in 2 different sizes (S/M and L/XL).

You will need

2 skeins of Scheepjes Chunky Monkey in shade Blush (or 2 skeins of chunky yarn of your choice).

6,5 mm crochet hook

A pair of scissors

A tapestry needle

Abbreviations

Ch: chain

St: Stitch

Sl st: slip stitch

Sk: Skip

DC: Double Crochet (UK Treble Crochet)

TC: Treble Crochet (UK Double Treble Crochet)

EOR: End of row

To begin

To start, ch 41 (for all sizes).

1: Place a DC into 4th ch from hook and into each ch across until eor (first ch 3 counts as a DC).

2: Ch 5 (=TC+1 ch), turn your work, TC into 3rd stitch from hook, *ch 1, sk 1 ch, TC in next st* until EOR (finish on a TC).

3: Ch 3 (=DC), turn your work, DC into 2nd st, and into every st (both ch sp and HDC from previous row) until EOR.

4-35 (S/M), 42 (L/XL): Alternate rows 2 and 3 (finish on a row 2).

Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing the snood together.

Sew in your project

Place your project on a flat surface, and fold in half so that both ends of the scarf are touching. Once both ends of the project are symmetrically placed one on top of the other, place your tapestry needle onto your loose end. Now sew your project together using the mattress seam.

Once this is done, fasten off, and tidy up all loose ends.
