Crochet The Belle Parisienne Wrap

Hi everyone! Today I am bringing to you a new tutorial on how to crochet The Belle Parisienne Wrap.

I hope you are well. I designed this pattern a few weeks ago. This wrap reminds me of my native France, where chic and femininity are so important in women’s fashion. The subdued, yet vibrant, pink colour of this wrap is really lovely, and inspired me to create this unique pattern.

This is a very chic Parisian wrap

Crochet The Belle Parisienne Wrap: Behind the name

I called it The Belle Parisienne Wrap because it’s simple and timeless elegance reminded me of Parisian women, vibrant cafés and the French classic style in general. I used Lion Brand Yarn’s Heartland yarn in shade Denali, a light and intense pink. It is an absolute delight to work with, so soft, strong and supple-a crocheter’s favourite yarn by essence.

I love Lion Brand yarns, as they are such great quality, and such a delight to crochet with. Their amazing selection of yarns and colours really elevate any crochet project. I often find myself picking out a yarn by Lion Brand for my special crochet patterns. Heartland does not disappoint, it’s great to work with, it is soft, strong and really great for crochet. I cannot wait to use more of this yarn for another project!

The Belle Parisienne Wrap: a chic accessory that elevates any outfit

I hope you enjoy this project. It is super easy and relaxing to make, using only double crochets and chain spaces, creating a beautiful V-shaped Wrap. It measures 62 inches wide, and 38 inches long, making it a perfect garment to keep you warm during the Autumn/Winter.

The tassels finish this wrap off beautifully, and I have included a tutorial on how to make these. This chic wrap really elevates any outfit, and I cannot wait to wear this accessory on my next night out, or just to chill out at home. The yarn is so soft and cosy, and quite warm too, so perfect for those chilly nights when you need to cover up a little.

French femininity and elegance

I really enjoyed making this wrap which reminds me so much of my home country France. I am very happy to bring you a project which really reminds me of the timeless and dainty French elegance and style. The tassels give a little bohemian vibe very trendy in France at the moment, which is always a bonus.

The best part is that this wrap can be worn any way you prefer, as a shawl wrapped all around yourself, or with a simple pin or brooch so as to create a cape, as seen in the photograph. This accessory is very adaptable, and would make a perfect project for a novice crocheter. This simple pattern can be worked up by a beginner, or by an expert crocheter too, so it is a very versatile pattern.
