Romantic & Lacy Scrunchie Free Pattern: The Inspiration
This romantic and lacy scrunchie is beautiful and easy to crochet. It features a unique design which I love so much! Crocheted scrunchies are perfect in all seasons. I love scrunchies so much, as they are so much fun to make.
Recently, I crocheted this feminine scrunchie, perfect for beginners. I also made this feminine scrunchie featuring Feels Like Butta yarn by Lion Brand. Crocheted bamboo scrunchies are also perfect in all seasons. Long story short, I love crochet scrunchies so much! They make for perfect Christmas and birthday gifts.

I also love the V stitch so much. This pocket shawl from 2020 features the V stitch, and it is one of my favorite projects to date! The Jade Pool Scarf from a few years ago also features this stitch and it makes for a very elegant project.
Romantic & Lacy Scrunchie Free Pattern: A Cute Project
This scrunchie is perfect as a gift. It is very cute and also very easy to crochet. I love it. It is crocheted very easily too, and the sewing process of this project is also very straightforward!
Hair accessories are perfect as gifts as they are versatile and very useful.
I love this scrunchie so much!
This new version of a scrunchie is definitely a favorite of mine already. Indeed, I love that simple projects such as scrunchies can so easily be elevated by simply crocheting it with a more intricate lacy stitch. I look forward to crocheting many more scrunchies with different stitches.

Start pattern here
Make a slip knot, and chain 99.
Row 1: Place DC into 5th ch from hook (=DC and chain); * sk 1 chain, place 2 DC together (=V stitch) into next ch until you reach the last 2 chains. Sk 1 chain, and place a DC into the last chain.
Row 2: Ch 3 (=DC), turn your work, place a V stitch (=2 DC) into every V stitch from previous row; place DC into last stitch.
Note: You will be placing your V stitches directly into the space created by the V stitch from previous row.
Row 3-7: Repeat row 2.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Create scrunchie shape
Firstly, place your project flat as seen in photograph above.
Now fold the project width wise, and sew the two ends together to create your first seam (see photo below).

Place your tapestry needle onto your loose end and sew first part of seam using the mattress stitch.
Now take your project and fold it into an “accordion” shape; place your simple elastic band onto the project as seen in photograph below.

Now with your tapestry needle and your loose end (if need attach a piece of yarn for this part), sew in your two sides so as to sew the elastic band in (as seen in photograph below). For this part you can use sewing pins to help with the sewing process at this point.

Once you have gone all around the scrunchie and sewed the seam in, fasten off and tidy up all loose ends.
