Crochet The Sweet and Innocent Headband

Hi everyone! Today we will learn to crochet The Sweet and Innocent Headband. This easy project is inspired by Coachella fashion.

I hope you are all well, the weather here in the UK has improved a bit and it has been sunny the last couple of days, so I thought it would be the perfect time to release The Sweet and Innocent Headband. This cute project is really easy and quick, and makes a delightful gift, or you can just crochet it for yourself, like I did! I think I will be making various colours of this simple hairband as I love how versatile it looks, and then it can match any outfit I wear.

About the yarn

It requires only a bit of a skein of Lion Brand’s Feels Like Butta, which is such a soft and beautiful yarn to work with. This yarn is one of my favourites, because it is so soft and easy to work with, and to be honest, it is quite an unusual wool too. It’s squishiness is so lovely, and I do think it is very versatile. I will definitely be making more projects with this yarn, and I have already started making a cute and summery crop top with the exact same shade, so that it will match the headband!

I will be filming a tutorial and writing a pattern for this new crochet top too, so watch this space. A baby blanket using this yarn is definitely a possibility for the future using this yarn. I absolutely adore Feels Like Butta by Lion Brand and would recommend it to anyone wanting to test it.

The Pattern for The Sweet and Innocent Headband

Level: Easy

Size of finished project: 3 cm x 48 cm (1”x19”)

Materials:

1 skein of Lion Brand Feels Like Butta in shade Blossom

5 mm crochet hook

Tapestry needle

Pair of scissors

Abbreviations:

I will be writing in US terms

Ch: chain

Sk: skip

SP: space

Sl st: Slip stitch

SC: Single Crochet

EOR: End of row

Pattern starts here:

Ch 74

Complete rows as follows:

1: SC crochet into 2^nd chain from hook, SC into every ch until eor

2: Ch 1 (counts as SC throughout), SC into every SC until eor

3-4: repeat row 2

Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing.

Sew both sides of headband together, making sure not to twist the project.

Fasten off, tidy up all loose ends.
