Crochet The Therese Shawl Free Pattern
Hi everyone, this week I am bringing to you a tutorial on how to crochet The Therese Shawl (free pattern). Inspired by the 19th Century, this shawl features a unique design. This unique pattern is made using the open shell stitch. It is crocheted starting at the widest point, decreasing from row to row creating the V shape.

Crochet The Therese Shawl Free Pattern: An Original Design
This crochet shawl is perfect for every season. The Therese Shawl is part of my Vintage Crochet Series and is inspired by the late nineteenth century. I crocheted The Angel Prayer Shawl and The Adrienne Vintage Shawl very recently, which are also perfect shawl designs also part of the The Vintage Crochet Series.
This crochet project is very feminine and perfect in all seasons. I love the original design, which I have designed very recently. Indeed, this V shaped shawl is starting from the largest point to the smallest point. This shawl is perfect for all seasons and is also a fast crochet project to make.
I really love the nineteenth century and have crocheted many shawls inspired by Les Miserables, for example. The Eponinine Shawl is made as an homage to my favorite book. I also made The Fantine Shawl with my favorite book in mind.
Shawls crocheted in the 19th Century are soft and flowy, and are oftentimes shaped in a V (as opposed to a long slim shaped shawl). This vintage Victorian shawl is actually inspired by an actual Victorian shawl I saw in a British library. This latest shawl is also a perfect example of a nineteenth century aesthetic.
Crochet The Therese Shawl Free Pattern: The Yarn
For this shawl, I used 100% mercerized cotton yarn. I love this yarn so much, as it so pretty and feminine! This is the yarn I used to made this dainty hair bow and this simple bow. Indeed, this yarn is so soft, and perfect for so many different projects too.
I also made this Romantic Ribbon Bag using this very yarn. This is how lovely and versatile this yarn is, as it can be crocheted into so many different types of projects. I love that I can also crochet this beautiful vintage shawl with this yarn.
This lovely flower headband is also crocheted with this beautiful yarn. This shawl is so beautiful crocheted with this yarn! I hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think of it in the comments.
