Crochet Christmas French Bow Free Pattern: An Original Design
I love this design so much! It is so dainty and pretty, and I love the way it looks too. This lovely Christmas project can be worn throughout the festive season. This French bow can be crocheted in many different colors. I hope you enjoy it! A few weeks ago, I crocheted this delicate rose hair bow, which I love so much still! It is so dainty and feminine.
This crochet hair bow is also a very fast project to make too. It looks elegant and beautiful, perfect for everyday. As an original design, I am very excited to share it with everyone! I hope you like making this project too!
This crochet bow is pretty and elegant, yet simple. The simplicity of this bow reminds me of French elegance. If you like French elegance, please do have a look at The Fleur De Lys beret, a typical beret inspired by Parisian chic. This elegant and feminine beret is also beautiful if you are wanting to create a French design.
Crochet Christmas French Bow Free Pattern: The Giveaway And Challenge
This giveaway and challenge is happening on my Instagram account, so please head over there to participate. This is an amazing opportunity for 3 people who follow me on Instagram, and take part in the challenge, to win 20 skeins of Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/4 in their favorite color.
To complete the challenge, which is starting on 17th November on Instagram, you need to make your own Christmas French bow following my pattern, and using whichever yarn you prefer. Once you have completed your work, you have to share a photo or reel posting (no stories) on December 17th (important: not earlier, not later than that day!), showing their version, using #HobbiiCandylandDIY, tagging you as well as hobbii_yarn. Hobbi yarn will pick, contact and repost the three winners on December 18th on hobbii_yarn.
Please note this challenge and giveaway is taking place on my Instagram page. I am only sharing the free pattern on my blog for ease of purpose.

Pattern begins here
For this project, we will start by crocheting the initial rectangle shape of the bow in the rounds.
Once this is completed, the bow shape will be given to the project by adding the center piece (as explained below in the pattern).
Begin pattern here
To start, make a slip knot.
Ch 40, slip stitching to 1st ch to create a circle shape. Please make sure you are not twisting the chain when you slip stitch.
1: Ch 2 (=HDC), HDC into next chain until end of chain. Sl st to 1st st to close off round.
2: Ch 2 (=HDC), HDC into next stitch until eor. Sl st to 1st st to close off round.
3-10: Repeat round 2.
Fasten off, tidy up all loose ends.
Create the center part of the bow (create shape)
Place your project on a flat surface, with the back part facing you. Make sure the seam of the project is centered (as seen in photograph below).
Take your yarn and attach it around the center of the project.
Tighten yarn gently so as to create the bow shape.
Now wrap your yarn around center of project approximately 50 times (see photo below):
Tie your yarn at the back of bow. Fasten off and tidy up all loose ends.
Sew the simple elastic band to the hair bow
Place your project so that the back of the hair bow is facing you. With tapestry needle and piece of yarn, sew the hair elastic onto center of project until it is fully secured.
Make a knot to effectively secure elastic, and fasten off. Tidy up all loose ends.
